What is Quickstart?
Quickstart allows you to install Virgin Media Broadband or TV yourself without needing an engineer to visit. It’s quick, easy and cheaper too. That’s because you won’t have to pay the installation costs associated with an engineer visiting.
Can I get a Quickstart installation?
If your home is in a cabled area and it’s had Virgin Media services in the last 3 years, you can usually get a Quickstart pack and install our services yourself. The other thing we need to check is where you’d like to position your modem, if you’re installing broadband, or your TV if you’re installing TV. If these are in roughly the same spot as before (ideally next to the socket), and you feel confident about installing the services yourself, there shouldn’t be a problem.
To talk things through, and order your Quickstart pack today, just call 150 from your Virgin Media phone, or mobile or 0345 454 1111* from any other phone if you're already a Virgin Media customer.

How long before my Quickstart pack arrives?
Your Quickstart pack will be delivered by courier within three days, or four days if you live in Northern Ireland. If you’ve ordered one of our V HD boxes, it will need to be signed for by someone aged 18 or over. If you can’t be at home, your courier will leave a card to say they called and they’ll try to deliver it again on the next working day.
How can I track my order?
Once you’ve placed your order, our courier partners will send you a text message to let you know it’s on its way. You can track your Quickstart order by visiting myyodel.co.uk
What does the Quickstart pack contain?
What comes in your Quickstart pack depends on the Virgin Media services you order. But either way, it has everything you need to install your new services.
Who do I call to have my Quickstart installation activated?
Once you’ve got all the bits in the right place, you can call our activation line to activate your services on 0800 953 9500. They’re here to help Mon-Fri, 8am-10pm; Saturday, 8am-6pm; and Sunday 9am-5pm. Just to let you know, if it’s a bank holiday our opening hours may vary.
Can I get Quickstart with the TiVo® service?
No, currently Quickstart installation is only available for customers installing a V HD box or Super Hub. Our Virgin Media: TiVo® service will be expertly installed by one of our engineers.
