Apps and Games on Virgin TV

At Virgin Media, we think you should enjoy all the telly you love, no matter who made it. So on top of all your channels, you get the Catch Up services and players you want, plus YouTube on your TV and access to Netflix if you’re subscribed.

Apps are only available on V6 and TiVo.

Setting your Favourite apps

If you find you’ve got apps you use regularly then you can add them to My Favourite Apps. To do this:

  1. Highlight your favourite app in Apps & Games
  2. Press Thumbs Up to add a favourite, or to remove a favourite app press Thumbs Down instead
  1. Press Home on your remote
  2. Select Catch Up
  3. Select Channels
  4. Select BBC iPlayer

You can also find BBC iPlayer in Home > Apps & Games too. Or open it by pressing Red on some BBC channels.

Sometimes BBC iPlayer shows aren’t available on TiVo. You can find more information about why certain programmes aren’t available here.

Already subscribed to Netflix? Then you can watch it on your TV.

  1. Press Home on your remote
  2. Select Apps & Games
  3. Select All Apps
  4. Select Netflix
  5. If you don’t have a subscription, you can upgrade via your TiVo
  6. Follow the instructions in the app to view all Netflix content on your TV

When you first log in to Netflix on V6, to bring the keyboard up just press OK on your remote.

Want to watch your favourite box set in mesmerizing 4K Ultra HD? All you need is a 4K Ultra HD TV plus a premium Netflix subscription that includes 4K Ultra HD shows.

NOTE: You can use the Netflix app on a mobile device connected to your home network to control Netfix on your V6 box.

  1. Press Home on your remote
  2. Select Apps & Games
  3. Select All Apps
  4. Select hayu
  5. If you don’t have a subscription to hayu, follow the instructions in the app to view this content

  4. Then take your pick from CBBC Picks and CBeebies Picks

Want to watch mesmerizing 4K Ultra HD clips from the wonderful webiverse of YouTube? Here's how:

  1. Press Home on your remote
  2. Select Apps & Games
  3. Select All Apps
  4. Select YouTube

Did you know, you can watch YouTube videos from your phone or tablet on your telly, too? Simply pair your device with your TiVo box and off you go. Here’s how:

  1. Open YouTube on your TV by following the steps above
  2. Under the settings, highlight the Pair option and press OK
  3. On your device, go to youtube.com/pair and enter the code displayed on your TV
  4. Hey presto! You can watch the YouTube clips on your phone on your TV

NOTE: If your phone or tablet is connected to your home network, you’ll be able to ‘cast’ from the YouTube app to your V6 box without having to pair your device first.

Vevo is a globally renowned internet music service with access to around 192,000 videos from 20,000 artists. Vevo is available on your V6 or TiVo box.

To access the Vevo app:

  1. Go to channel 300
  2. Press the Red on your remote to access Vevo

You can also access Vevo by:

  1. Pressing Home on your TiVo remote
  2. Select Apps & Games
  3. Select All Apps
  4. Select Vevo

Vevo is also available via On Demand > Music > Playlists or select Search & Discover.

To view videos, just use your remote to browse for artists, or use the in app search to find your favourite songs and artists.
