Why do I see a “Dial-up Connection” screen on my PC?
If you previously used a dial-up connection, but now use Virgin Broadband, you may see a screen similar to the following when you try to connect to the Internet:

This lets you know that your computer is still looking for a dial-up connection.
Mac users, click here for guidance.
To turn off dial-up networking, do the following on a Windows PC:
1. Click on Start, then click on Control Panel.
By the way, the screens shown are Windows XP screens. If you have another version of Windows, the steps described in this section are the same, although the screens will look a bit different.
2. In the Control Panel, click on Network and Internet Connections.
Note: This step only applies to Windows XP users. Users of other Windows versions, go straight to step 3.
3. Click on Internet Options.
4. In the Internet Options screen, select the Connections tab.
5. In the Connections tab, do both of the following:
a. In the Dial-up and Virtual Private Network settings panel, click on any connections labelled as dial-up, and then click on Remove.
b. From the options beneath this panel, click on the Never dial a connection radio button.
6. Click on Apply, then click on OK.
That's it! Try again to connect to the Internet.
