Difficulty signing in to email?
There are a number of reasons why you could be having difficulty signing in to email. Check out the following for the most common solutions.
Changed your login and trying to access webmail?
If you changed your preferred login in My Virgin Media to something other than the email address we gave you when you first joined us, the new login is the one you need to use when you access your Virgin Media Webmail account.
For example, if we gave you the username rbranson@virginmedia.com, and you changed this to rbranson@owndomain.com in My Virgin Media > My Profile, the second address is the one you need to use to sign in to your rbranson@virginmedia.com Webmail account.

If you use an email client, your original login should still work.
Username or password incorrect?
Email login problems are often associated with the use of an incorrect username or password. If you are prompted for your username and password when attempting to access your email, re-enter your information in both fields and then try again.
Just so you know, your email password is the same you use to sign in to My Virgin Media.

Getting a “Google Apps – Server error” message?
This is probably because you have previously used an email address with a different domain name (that’s the bit after the @) to sign in. For example, you may have previously used an @virginmedia.com address, and are now signing in using an @ntlworld.com or @blueyonder.co.uk address.
Best thing to do to reset your email is to link to one of the following web pages, and sign in from there:
- If you are trying to access an email address that ends in @virginmedia.com, please click here.
- If you are trying to access an email address that ends in @ntlworld.com, please click here.
- If you are trying to access an email address that ends in @blueyonder.co.uk, please click here.
- If you are trying to access an email address that ends in @virgin.net, please click here.
