What are the system requirements for Virgin Media Security?
Supported Operating Systems
- Windows 7 (Ultimate, Professional, and Home Premium) 32-bit and 64-bit
- Windows Vista (Ultimate, Business, Home Premium, and Home Basic) 32-bit and 64-bit with Service Pack 1 (SP1) or higher
- Windows XP (Professional, Home, Tablet, and Media editions) 32-bit with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or higher
Please Note:
- 64-bit versions of Windows XP are not supported.
- The Wi-Fi Security service on Windows XP requires Service Pack 3 (SP3).
Disk Space
900 MB must be available on your hard disk to install Virgin Media Security or Virgin Media Security: Identity +.
Monitor
High-colour display with a resolution of 800x600 pixels or higher.
Hardware
Must meet minimum Windows operating system requirements as per Microsoft recommendations:

Windows XP:
- 350MHz or faster processor (800MHz recommended)
- 256MB RAM (512MB recommended)
Internet Connection
An Internet connection is required to activate Virgin Media Security or Virgin Media Security: Identity + and to obtain updates.
A broadband connection is recommended.

- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 or later
- Mozilla Firefox 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 or later
- Google Chrome 3.0 or later
Please Note:
- The Safe Search service does not support 64-bit versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox
- The Safe Search service does not support Internet Explorer 6
- The Safe Search service does not support Google Chrome or Apple Safari
