Why do I need Virgin Media Security Privacy Manager?

  • Virgin Media Security Privacy Manager can help remove tracking information and protect your personal information online.
  • It helps you to ensure that your private information stays private.
How Privacy Manager works

The Privacy Manager can:

  • Remove tracking information found in your operating system and browser
  • Manage your cookies
  • Alert you when personal information is being transmitted to the Internet without your knowledge

Online marketers can see where you browsed and can use this information to better target you for advertising. Virgin Media Security Privacy Manager can remove tracking information left behind by Internet Explorer, MSN Explorer and Windows, allowing you to limit the amount of information that can be retrieved by any third party.

Privacy Manager options

Virgin Media Security Privacy Manager gives you control over how much information websites record about your browsing habits. Cookies are caught and placed in the Privacy Manager. You have the option of moving websites that contain cookies to the Trusted web sites list. This will ensure that the cookies for these websites remain on your computer so you do not have to recreate your profile for these websites. Deleting unnecessary cookies helps to protect your privacy.
