Error 691 on National – invalid username and password

Error 691 usually occurs when you have entered an incorrect broadband username and/or password.

Windows reports this error message when you try to connect using a USB modem such as the Thomson SpeedTouch 330.

Routers can suffer from the same root problem, although you are unlikely to see an error message displayed on-screen.

The detailed error message will look like this:

Error 0691: Access was denied because the username and/or password was invalid

To fix the problem, re-enter your broadband username and password, and then try to connect again.

The error may also occur if your account has been cancelled or if there is a problem with the service at our end. Please check our Service Status page for more information.

If you are still unable to connect, please contact our technical support team.
