How to resolve error 720 – No PPP control protocols configured
This error can occur if you computer has been incorrectly setup for access to the Internet. Follow the steps below to try and resolve this issue:
- In Windows, double-click on Start.
- Double click on Control Panel.
- Double-click on Network Connections.
- Right click on the icon for your modem, and select Properties.
- Select the Server Types tab, and ensure you have the Type of Dialup Server set to PPP: Internet (or, if you do not see this option, select the option beginning with PPP).
- Click on OK at the bottom of the page, and attempt the connection again.
If this does not work, uninstall and reinstall the modem.
